What’s Happening Over Spring Break at the FSJ Library???

Through some excellent partnerships with School District 60/Welcome BC and generous sponsorship from the North Peace Cultural Centre and Spectra Energy, FSJPL is ecstatic to announce that we will be offering the following FREE programs during spring break for toddlers, kids and teens!

Our regular Story Time schedule will continue as normal through Spring Break.

**All programs require registration. Registration opens Friday, March 15th. **

  •  2nd Annual Fort St John Hunger Games: Monday, March 25th @ 6:30 pm

For ages 12-18, this event was registered to maximum capacity in 2012. An active, exciting event, FSJ Hunger Games brings the action and excitement of the popular book and movie series to life. Participants must use their wits and cunning to survive as they battle their fellow “tributes” until only one remains!

Adult volunteers (19+) are needed to serve as “Game Makers” in the Hunger Games. Please contact Morgan if interested.

  • Wimpfest 2013: Monday, March 25th from 1:00-4:00pm

For ages 6-12, this special theme party will have broad appeal as participants engage in action and excitement around the theme of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid book/movie franchise. A combination of active games, creative art exploration, treats, prizes and wacky fun, this event is sure to please the elementary-middle school crowd.

  • Fairy Tales and Dragon Scales: Tuesday, March 26th @ 10:30am

For ages 2-6, this event invites toddlers and pre-school aged children to explore and learn through imaginative play: “Come as a fairy, come as an elf, come as a dragon or come as yourself!” Kids are encouraged to come in costume if they like, and to join in the fun for a morning of games, crafts, treats and more!

  • Library and Beyond: Spring Break Edition!

Monday, March 25th and Wednesday, March 27th from 10:00am-4:00pm

For ages 6-12, this School District 60/Welcome BC partnership program is back! Each day of this program provides a full day’s worth of activities including field trips, special visitors and awesome activities. Activity themes this session will include participation in our Diary of a Wimpy Kid party and Super Kids: a day of super-powered fun and adventure! This popular program has a limited number of spots available, so please register early.
