New Staff at Taylor Elementary

Mr. Brownlee – Principal

brownleeI am very excited to be a part of this school! Already I have seen a very strong and dedicated staff and students who want to learn! Also, I have seen how much of a community school this truly is, as parents are often seen in the school, visiting and helping out. Before and after school many are also seen showing great interest in their child’s learning that day, and maybe doing a little visiting too!

I am in my 14th year as an educator, and spent ten of those years as a teacher, vice-principal and principal in Prespatou, another strong community school. My other three years were at NPSS in FSJ, as a vice-principal. I live in FSJ with my wife and 4 children. My office is always open, so please feel free to speak with me.

Mrs. Olson – Secretary

I live in Taylor with my husband and two sons.  We have lived here for 15 years.   I am a crazy hockey mom, past PAC president and Taylor Minor hockey registrar.  I am really looking forward to this new year.

Mrs. Knott – Grade 4/5 Teacher

IMG_1092Born and raised in the Peace Region, I currently live on a little acreage on the outskirts of Fort St. John with my husband, dog and cat. I have been a teacher with School District No. 60 since 2009 and have enjoyed working at several of the schools throughout the district.
I am excited to join Taylor Elementary School this year as the grade 4/5 teacher and am so pleased by the warm welcome I have received from staff, students and parents. Though I am very happy to announce the arrival of my first baby in November, it will be hard to say goodbye as I begin my maternity leave. I look forward to the possibility of returning next fall and wish you all a happy and successful school year!
