KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

FOR THE 2014 / 2015 YEAR

All Peace River North Elementary Schools are now accepting

Kindergarten Student Registrations.

 

• Children who will be five (5) years of age by December 31, 2014 are eligible for registration in Kindergarten at their local schools.

• Registration for Kindergarten students for the 2014/2015 school year will take place in all Elementary Schools during regular school hours.

• Please register directly at the school closest to you.  If you are uncertain of the school boundaries (catchment areas) please contact the nearest school.  Enrollment is offered in the following priority order:  1) “catchment” area (home-school) children with siblings already in attendance at the school, 2) “catchment” area children, 3) “non-catchment” area children.  When applications made have the same priority, priority will be determined by time and date of application. To maximize the opportunity that your child will be accommodated at your local school it is strongly recommended that you register at your earliest convenience.  Parents are reminded that provincially mandated maximum class sizes are in effect

• French Immersion Kindergarten is available at École Central Elementary School of the Arts only.  Please call the school (785-4511) for further information regarding the French Immersion program.

• Busing will be provided for rural Kindergarten programs.  Availability and times vary from school to school so please call your school for the appropriate details.

*Effective September 2011 all schools in School District No. 60 will have full-time Kindergarten classes*
