Effective this school year (2012/13), the Ministry of Education removed the funding line item for
transportation and replaced it with what is now referred to as the “Student Location Factorâ€Â. This
new allocation process resulted in a change for all districts with some receiving an increase and
others a reduction of funding. In our case the result was a loss of approximately $541,000 which
