Partner reading in the grade 3/4 class

This is what good partner reading looks like.  The students sit beside, listen carefully, and help each other with difficult words.  They read the same book they read to their parents the night before.

Cops For Cancer Visit Taylor Tigers

2013 Tour de North

 

The 2013 Cops for Cancer Tour de North kicked off in Dawson Creek this morning, and made a stop at Taylor Elementary this afternoon before arriving in Fort St. John.

Grade 3 class enjoys day at Taylor Fire Hall

Every year the Taylor Fire Department celebrates Fire Safety.  During this time students are encouraged to fill out home fire safety plans.  They, then, hand them into their teachers and their names go into a draw for a GT snowracer or laptop computer etc.

We are Published!!!!

For the 3rd year in a row the entire school of Taylor Tigers has published their own books.  Grades k-2 produced class-generated books and grades 3-6 students produced individual books.  The school was fortunate to have members of the Taylor District and community,

Grade 3 students learn fractions


Today the grade 3 class learned how to use fractions to bake chocolate chip cookies.  Their only measuring tools were a coffee cup and a teaspoon.  They did a fantastic job!
