We had 6 incredible participants vying for the top 3 spots in our Annual Speech competition.  Mrs. Turner-London and Mr. McCracken were the judges this year.  Such a hard choice to make!  All 6 students presented animated,

Celebrating our Authors!!!

The FOURTH ANNUAL CELELBRATION of our preschool to grade 6 PUBLISHED AUTHORS took place today. After our authors were introduced they signed their books.   Copies of their books are kept in the Library for all to enjoy.

Grade 3/4 students make Tipis

Thank you to Mrs. Law, our aboriginal support worker, for the art lessons about First Nation’s Tipis, beading, threading and design.

Intermediate students enjoy First Nations Studies

School District #60’s District Cultural Aboriginal Student Support Worker, Diane Barclay, brought traditional Aboriginal artifacts to Taylor Elementary Library for the students to explore, touch, and discuss.  What a treat! …and a fantastic learning experience.

Robin Stevenson – Author visit

 

Biography:Robin Stevenson is the author of more than a dozen books for children and teens. She has always loved reading and still finds it almost impossible to walk past a library or bookstore without going inside.

Taylor Elementary School Students perform beautifully!

Missoula performance theatre visited Taylor Elementary School last week.
Monday was the day for students to audition for their parts.
They practiced Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Friday was performance day!
